The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will hold its 32nd Ordinary Congress on Thursday, 20 August 2026, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the future of football in the country.
The annual statutory meeting will take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram in accordance with Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes.
The Congress is one of the most important events on the GFA’s calendar, providing members with an opportunity to review the previous football season and assess the association’s programmes, administration and financial position.
Delegates are expected to discuss a wide range of issues, including competitions, football development, governance and strategic plans for the new season.
The GFA has formally notified its members of the date, while a full convocation is expected to be circulated ahead of the meeting.
The document will include the agenda for the Congress, activity reports, financial statements and the auditors’ report. These will allow delegates to examine the association’s operations and financial performance.
Club representatives, technical officials and other members of the football community are expected to attend the full-day meeting.
The Congress will also give the GFA leadership an opportunity to engage directly with members on ongoing projects and address concerns affecting football at different levels.
Ghanaian football continues to face a number of challenges, including issues around administration, infrastructure, development and finances. The decisions taken at the Congress could therefore have an impact on the direction of the sport in the coming season.
The GFA has urged delegates to prepare adequately for the meeting and participate actively in discussions.
The 32nd Ordinary Congress will ultimately provide a platform for Ghana’s football stakeholders to review the past, consider current challenges and agree on priorities for the future development of the game.
