The race for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidency is now a two-horse race between Kurt Okraku and George Afriyie.

After second round of voting, the two polled 59 and 43 of the total votes cast respectively. The third contender, Nana Yaw Amponsah polled 16 votes.

A total of 61 votes is required for an outright win in the first round of voting but that target was not reached and there will now be a third round.

Per the rules, candidates with the least number of votes that is Nana Yaw Amponsah will drop out of the third round.

The members of the Executive Committee of the GFA will decide who becomes President in the third round as the two leading contenders failed to meet the 50% +1 votes.
