Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association, Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo, says the consultative meeting set for today by the Ghana Football Association is unnecessary.
The Ghana Football Association yesterday, through its communication outlet, announced a consultative meeting with representatives of the Premier League and Division one clubs to offer concerns on current state and future of the Association but meeting and agenda the Chief Executive Officer of Ashgold says is at a bad time.
Speaking on the Ultimate sports show today, Mr. Fianoo explained that two premier league clubs, Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko, will represent the nation in CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup games respectively and will need everyone’s support.
“Participants of this same meeting will be playing important games today so why can’t the meeting be set for another day? It is also surprising what the football Association is in a hurry to have this meeting when there is an injunction on the league.
The outspoken football administrator further questioned why the agenda of the meeting is nowhere near the delayed league but the progress of the Football Association and asked if the hierarchy have finally accepted there is a problem.
