Communications Director of the National Democratic (NDC) has described Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu as a “lame dog”.
According to Solomon Nkansah, the anti-corruption crusader is at the behest of Attorney General, Gloria Akuffo thus can affect his neutrality.

“Martin Amidu cannot prosecute any NPP member because he is a lame dog. He is coming to work on already developed dockets” he stressed.
Following the appointment of Martin Amidu as Special Prosecutor, many, especially members of the NDC have expressed reservations about his neutrality.
They are convinced the embittered former deputy Attorney General will seek revenge on appointees of the erstwhile Mahama administration whom he thinks offended him.

In support, Solomon Nkansah on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, said President Akufo-Addo’s appointment of Martin Amidu is very strategic.
He explained that, since the President does not want to be seen as witch-hunting NDC members, “he has appointed one of our own to hound us”.
The aspiring NDC National Organizer maintained that, though Martin Amidu is more than competent for the position, he will be a “lame dog”.

“Martin Amidu cannot investigate cases on his own; all cases he will work on will come from the Attorney General’s office which will shield NPP members from prosecution.
Solomon Nkansah is convinced Martin Amidu is not the solution to fighting the corruption menace in the country.
