About 80 students from the Awutu Senya West constituency have benefited from a scholarship scheme to enable them pursue tertiary education.

The scheme, initiated by the Deputy Minister for Communications, George Andah was initiated three years ago to help needy but brilliant students.

The scheme has so far seen about 200 people benefiting. In a meeting to present the cheques for the scholarships, Mr Andah said the government will leave no stone unturned to ensure all are empowered through education to ensure better lives for the people.

Mr Andah thanked the constituents for their prayers and support as he continues with his team to initiate people-centred projects to make their lives better.

The meeting coincided with exactly one year of the ghastly incident that nearly took his and his team’s life.

The Deputy Minister said he believes the narrow escape from the accident was by divine providence.
