Former Director of the Ghana Law School (GLS), Dr Ansah Asare, has expressed satisfaction over the nomination of Justice Anin-Yeboah as Ghana’s next Chief Justice.

Dr Asare said his nomination as the Chief Justice is right as Justice Anin-Yeboah is very well versed with the laws of the country.

He advised Justice Anin-Yeboah to focus on resolving the numerous challenges plaguing the Judiciary should he be given the nod to lead the Judiciary.

Some of the challenges he cited were poor conditions of service for judges, low salaries and poor state of court houses in the country, making particular emphasis on the need for reforms in the country’s legal education.

If approved, Justice Anin-Yeboah, who is the fourth longest-serving Justice of the Supreme Court, will succeed Justice Sophia Abena Boafoa Akuffo who retires on December 20, 2019.
