Caleb, 25, is on loan to Trabzonspor in Turkey and has scored five goals in 29 appearances this season for the club.

Speaking to Asempa Sports, the UEFA licensed coach said the striking prowess, skills and stature of the former Partizani Tirana player are so perfect and would be the engine in the Black Stars team ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

“When you take a critical look at the boy, his striking attributes in terms of goal scoring, how he is able to join the midfielder in terms of play making and control the ball in and outside is so exceptional,” he said.

The way the boy is always glued to his feet really shows he would bring a lot into the play. “Indeed he has a serious talent,” he said.

The Black Stars are in Dubai preparing for the continental showpiece in Egypt on June 21.

Ekuban, though his maiden call-up, is among the four strikers for the tournament.
