Accra Hearts of Oak's new jersey

Ghana premier league giant, Accra Hearts of Oak have unveiled their new Umbro kits ahead of the 2019/20 season.

The kits, designed by the United Kingdom kits manufacturer, Umbro was launched at the Accra Sports Stadium Media Centre on Wednesday.

But, according to some football enthusiasts, the venue for the unveiling was a clear disrespect considering the brand level of the continental club masters.

In reaction, the Public Relations Officer of the club, Kwame Opare Addo, condemned those comments and fumed that those statements were below standard.

“Where did they want us to do it; should we have done it at Kempinski?” he questioned.

“When we play football matches there, do pre-match and post-match conferences there, they say it’s a good place but organising a programme there they’ve turned around saying the place is not good; this is a clear disrespect to the club,” he said on Asempa FM.

Hearts of Oak secured a sponsorship deal with Umbro to become the first Ghanaian Club to be provided kits by the English firm.
