Some residents who witnessed the shooting at Ayawaso West Wougon constituency narrated how the shooting started.
According to the witnesses, a group of men in black just came from nowhere and started firing at them.
They managed to prevent them from entering the residence of the NDC parliamentary candidate Delali Brempong.

“They were about 200masked wearing a National Security Council attar who moved towards the residents of the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wougon and started shooting”
Speaking on Joy News, they stated the incidence is just a ploy by members of the New Patriotic Party to destroy the peaceful nature of the election and therefore support their party leaders in their decision to withdraw from the election.

“We could have retaliated if we wanted to but as peaceful as we are we didn’t, they are doing this to intimidate us so we agree with our leaders to pull out from the race because if we choose to peace and we love our country”
