Ever heard of handicrafts being used to treat patients? Well, that’s exactly what’s being done for patients at the Pantang Hospital.

An occupational therapist at the Pantang Hospital, Godwin Amewu has disclosed that the hospital, as part of its process to ensure that patients are effectively treated, uses the method of teaching handicrafts to patients to aid their treatment process.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News, monitored by Adomonline.com, Mr Amewu revealed that the teaching and learning of handicrafts at the hospital is used in the rehabilitation process of the patients.

He said the use of the therapeutic process is to reverse the adverse effects of mental illness on affected individuals.
