Chiefs and queen mothers of the Western Nzema Traditional Area have paid a courtesy call on the Member of Parliament for Jomoro and Deputy Minister for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, to discuss development initiatives and the future growth of the constituency.

The delegation, led by the Paramount Chief of the Western Nzema Traditional Area, Awulae Kwasi Amakyie III, met with the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Transport as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration on the development of the Jomoro Municipality in the Western Region.

The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss progress made in the constituency, challenges confronting the area, and strategies for advancing socio-economic development.

Speaking after the meeting, Madam Affo-Toffey expressed appreciation to the traditional leaders for their support and encouragement.

“It was a singular honour to receive His Royal Majesty, Awulae Kwasi Amakyie III, Paramount Chief of the Western Nzema Traditional Area, together with esteemed Nananom of the Traditional Council, during their distinguished visit,” she said.

She thanked the chiefs and queen mothers for their guidance, prayers and confidence in her leadership.

“I am deeply grateful for their patriotic support, invaluable counsel, prayers, and confidence in the work we continue to undertake on behalf of our people. Such royal guidance and endorsement inspire an even stronger commitment to public service and development,” she stated.

Madam Affo-Toffey reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with traditional authorities, stakeholders and residents to promote development and improve living conditions across the constituency.

“As your representative, I remain dedicated to working hand-in-hand with Nananom, stakeholders, and the good people of Jomoro to champion initiatives that improve livelihoods, expand opportunities, and accelerate development across our communities,” she said.

She added that the traditional leaders indicated that their visit was intended to acknowledge the work undertaken so far in Jomoro and to encourage continued efforts towards the development of the area.

“Together, with unity of purpose and a shared vision, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Jomoro and a brighter future for the Western Nzema Traditional Area,” she added.
