Ghanaian music duo DopeNation has announced plans to support families affected by the recent floods in parts of Accra with cash donations.
In a statement shared on social media, the award-winning duo said selected victims and families impacted by the floods will each receive GH¢1,000 as part of efforts to ease their burden.
According to DopeNation, while the donation cannot replace the lives lost or restore properties destroyed by the disaster, they hope it will provide some relief to affected households during this difficult period.
The duo described the floods as a painful reminder of the need for unity and compassion, urging Ghanaians to stand together and support one another in times of crisis.
“The floods in our homes resulting in the loss of lives and valuable property aren’t just here to break us but to remind us of how strong we should be as one people with love,” they said.
They added that the initiative is being funded from proceeds generated during their recent Europe tour, stressing that the gesture is their way of giving back to communities affected by the disaster.
The announcement has been welcomed by fans, with many praising the musicians for extending support to victims as recovery efforts continue across flood-hit communities.
