Filmmaker Kafui Danku has opened up about an emotional dream involving her late father, sharing cherished memories of the man she says loved, protected and believed in her unconditionally.
In a heartfelt social media post, the actress revealed that she recently dreamt about her father, John Chico Danku, years after his passing, leaving her wondering why departed loved ones sometimes reappear in dreams after such a long time.
According to Kafui, her father looked calm in the dream, but despite calling him by the family nickname “Chicolistic Chico,” he did not respond.
The experience prompted the actress to reflect on the special bond they shared while he was alive.
Kafui described her father as an intentional parent who took an active role in raising her and never missed an opportunity to celebrate her achievements.
She recalled how he would proudly speak about her whenever her school examination results were released, filling her with so much confidence that she believed she could achieve anything.
The actress admitted she always knew she was her father’s favourite child because she was the only one who could challenge him and get away with it.
She also revealed that she often takes photographs in front of his image because it gives her a comforting feeling that he is still watching over and protecting her.
Although she deeply misses him, the actress said waking up from the dream left her with one lingering question: why do loved ones who have passed away suddenly appear in our dreams after so many years?
Her emotional reflection has resonated with many followers, who shared similar experiences of dreaming about departed loved ones and the lasting impact such moments leave behind.
