Award-winning gospel musician Perez Musik has taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing a throwback photo from his early days in the recording studio.

In a social media post, the Hewale Lala hitmaker admitted that despite having limited knowledge of the music industry at the time, he and his team were filled with confidence and believed they had already conquered the world.

“Eeeii charlee… Nyame ayÉ› bi ooo. Hmmm!! These were the days of extreme ignorance, yet filled with so much arrogance. We were on top of the world ooo. Then you no fit tell we nothing,” he wrote with laughter.

The photo, which showed Perez Musik in a recording studio with a bag full of compact discs (CDs), brought back memories of an era when physical CDs were the primary medium for distributing music.

Pointing to the CD bag in the picture, the gospel singer joked that it contained countless songs that captured his youthful ambition and passion for music.

Perez Musik also revealed that the studio captured in the throwback photograph was the same one he lost in a devastating fire in 2021.

Despite the painful setback, he said the experience only strengthened his faith and reminded him of God’s faithfulness throughout his journey.

Perez Musik’s post has since resonated with many fans, who praised his humility and celebrated his remarkable journey from those early studio sessions to becoming one of Ghana’s leading gospel musicians.
