Papa Owusu-Ankomah, Ghana's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom

Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland, Papa Owusu Ankomah, has tested positive to coronavirus.

Joy News’ Baaba Tandoh confirmed this on Pulse Friday.

The Head of Ghana’s Mission in the UK and Ireland since June 2017, is currently at the Intensive Care Unit of one of the Royal Hospitals, where he is responding to treatment.

Baaba Tandoh reported that, his wife had earlier shown symptoms of the viral disease. She has, however, been quarantined.

So far, the UK has recorded over 70,000 cases of Covid-19 with almost 9,000 deaths.
