Minister of State at the presidency, Bryan Acheampong has described as unfortunate the Minority’s resolve to create fear and panic in the country.
According to him, the plot by the by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to say Ghana is likely to face a terror attack is dead on arrival.
Mr. Acheampong made the comment while reacting to claims by Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that the Canadian and the UK governments had issued the alerts through their mission in Accra.
This alert he indicated casts a slur on Ghana as a country known across the globe as being very peaceful and free from terror attacks.
Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa maintained that his alert is not borne out of malice but to ensure the security service s red alert.
But Bryan Acheampong on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday said the travel advice by the Canadian government has existed since the era of Mansa Musa.
He explained that, the travel advice is something they do all the time and what they have written has existed since 2015.
“We have collaboration with international security agencies so if they is any terror threat, they would have notified us” he stressed.
Bryan Acheampong assured Ghanaians the nation faces no known terror threats at the moment and remains safe.
