Six people, including a three-month-old baby, have been reported dead in a gory accident at Konongo-Odumasi on the Kumasi highway in the Ashanti region.

Reports indicate the accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday in a head on collision involving a VVIP with registration number GT 6082-18 and an OA bus with registration number GT 4913-14.
Confirming the incident to Adom News, Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department Commander, DSP Stephen Yeboah, said persons involved in the accident were in critical conditions.

“The OA bus was travelling to Kumasi with the VVIP travelling to Accra. Six people died on the spot including a three-month- old baby,” he said.
Several casualties have been referred to the Konongo Government Hospital and Steward Hospital at Yawkwai for treatment.
