Former Deputy Minister for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has expressed his surprise at the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for saying they will continue to borrow from other countries.
Referring to the statement made at a conference in Nigeria by President Akufo-Addo, the North Tongu MP said the president had lied to Ghanaians during 2016 elections when he said governance wasn’t about borrowing.

According to him, it is difficult to believe the NPP government was still going for aid from other countries when they bashed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in opposition.
“I thank God for his doing, Ghanaians will finally know the truth about the New Patriotic Party (NPP), 2020 campaign will be very interesting. Dr Bawumia said borrowing is a lazy man’s approach to governance,” he said to host Osei Bonsu.
