The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rubbished claims by the Member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram Constituency, Sam George that he was assaulted by several members of the NPP Invisible Forces.

Early Thursday morning, Sam Dzata George posted on Facebook that he had just been assaulted and was fired several rounds of ammunition by several members of the NPP Invisible Forces.

He claims that they were wearing NSC shirts.

He said he was heckled and attacked by masked men wielding guns in the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

“I have just been assaulted by several members of the NPP Invincible Forces attired in National Security Council shirts and vests. They fired several rounds of ammunition at me simply because I was doing my legal job of monitoring the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

“President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, I am grateful to you,” he wrote on his facebook post.

But, Communications Director of the NPP, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah addressing pressmen at the party’s headquarters was shocked at how Sam George’s is still alive after being shot at several times.

“We are talking about guns here. We all watch movies don’t we, we see what happens when someone has been fired several rounds of ammunition. What was the distance, were the gun pointed at him” he quizzed.

He continued that “As we speak Sam George is alive enough to have written on his Facebook page after being shot severally. We haven’t seen any blood on his body, he hasn’t been to the hospital and yet he’s told the whole world that several rounds were shot at him. A whole legislator, making such damning allegations”.
