National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Afrifa Yamoah Ponko has appealed to the Okyenhene and Okyeman to forgive Kwame Zu for his derogatory comments.

According to the former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu-Juabeng in the Ashanti region, the people and traditional council must be patient in dealing with the issue to yield best results.

“The Okyenhene is my grandfather so I know him very well and I am not sure the Okyenhene himself has taken this issue the way we have, Kwame Zu is a very young man who just got into politics so even if he was wrong, I will plead we forgive him,” he said.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mr Ponko pleaded with the traditional council to hold on with the three-day ultimatum.

“I think with the ultimatum, we haven’t reached the point where the NDC will be banned from political related activities in the area,” he urged.

“We will apologise at all costs and I know the Okyenhene as the calm and peaceful man he will even be sorry for Kwame Zu when he gets into his palace,” he assured.
