General Mosquito as he is popularly called, for the first time since he became General Secretary is facing stiff competition from Koku Anyidoho, who has vowed to snatch the post from him.

Many political pundits are shocked at the challenge since this is the first a deputy is challenging his boss for the position in the history of the NDC.

They are predicting General Mosquito could lose the position given the groundswell of support for Mr. Anyidoho by leading members of the NDC.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia stated that, it will be “fruitless” to make him a target just to win an internal election when they have the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to beat in 2020.
