Former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, says he has never been a member of the party’s communication team.

To Bernard Allotey Jacobs, his communication skills are what have presented him with the chance to speak like a statesman and contribute to the development of the party.

“I have never been a member of the party [NDC]’s communication team; You hear me speak on the radio for the NDC because of my communication skills. I speak like a statesman and not a communicator for the NDC,” he stated on Adom FM’s morning show “Dwaso Nsem” Tuesday.

Mr Allotey Jacobs who is an ardent critic of the ruling NPP has been asked not to represent the NDC on any media platform.

NDC National Communications Director, Sammy Gyamfi, confirmed the ban on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday.

In a text message to show host, Osei Bonsu, it said Mr Allotey Jacobs no longer speaks for the NDC.

This development, according to the party stemmed from actions and inaction of the former Central Regional Chairman which in their opinion is inimical to the NDC’s success.

But the Central Regional Chairman says for the love of his party, he will continue to defend his it and won’t pay attention to critics.
