The Asiakwa Barekese Royal Family has announced that a duly constituted panel has been set up by the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council to adjudicate a petition and injunction suit concerning the status and legitimacy of the current occupant of the Asiakwa stool.

According to the family, the petition raises concerns regarding the nomination and enstoolment process, which are now under formal review by the appropriate traditional authorities.

In a statement, the royal family urged the public, including individuals, institutions, investors, and stakeholders, to exercise caution in their dealings involving the Asiakwa stool while the matter remains under adjudication.

It further advised persons who have entered into agreements or arrangements with the current stool occupant to review such engagements and seek appropriate guidance in light of the ongoing process.

The statement also called for caution regarding any new or pending transactions, recommending that they be suspended or approached carefully until a final determination is made.

The family explained that the advisory is intended to prevent disputes, protect stakeholder interests, and preserve the integrity of the adjudication process.

It stressed that the notice does not pre-empt the outcome of the case, but rather ensures that all parties act with due diligence in accordance with customary and legal procedures.

Further updates are expected as the adjudication process continues.
