Asante Kotoko have bolstered their squad with the signing of highly-rated defensive midfielder Lord Hilary Adabo ahead of the upcoming football season.
The 21-year-old joins the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year contract from FC Samartex, following an impressive stint in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking to Kotoko Media after sealing the move, Adabo revealed he had multiple offers on the table, including interest from abroad, but felt Kotoko offered the ideal platform for his development.
“There were a few offers, including some from outside,” he told Kotoko Media.
“But I believe playing for Asante Kotoko puts me in the best place to grow and earn a call-up to the Black Stars. This is a big step for me, and I’m confident it’s the right one for my career,” he added.
Adabo arrives with a wealth of domestic top-flight experience, having made over 60 appearances in the Ghana Premier League for both FC Samartex and Real Tamale United. Renowned for his composure on the ball and sharp tactical awareness, the midfielder has built a reputation as a reliable shield in front of the defence.
His addition is viewed as a key reinforcement as Kotoko look to strengthen their midfield options and mount a strong challenge in the 2025/26 season.
