National Peace Council member passes on

The National Peace Council has announced the passing of its Governing Board member, National Peace Council, Numo Blafo Akotia Omaetu III.

He is described as a dedicated servant of peace, whose wisdom and commitment significantly contributed to the Council’s work in promoting national cohesion and conflict resolution.

Until his passing, he served as a member of the Governing Board from November 2020 to February 2026.

Beyond his role at the Council, Numo Blafo Akotia Omaetu III was the President of the GaDangme Council of Wulomɛi and also served as the Public Relations Officer of the National Traditional Medicine Practitioners Council.

Following his demise, members of the Governing Board, led by Chairman Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, paid a courtesy call on the bereaved family to express their condolences and offer support during the difficult period.

The Council noted that his legacy of service and dedication to peace will continue to inspire its work
