The Ghana Police Service has deployed about ten armed police officers to Kwabenya Atomic Hill Police Station to beef up security in the area.
This follows a deadly Sunday dawn gun attack and jailbreak on the Police Station by some unidentified gum men to free some seven robbery suspects.
The attack killed one Police Officer, Insp. Emanuel Ashilevi who was on patrol operations to the station.
ASP Efia Tenge, the Greater Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, has said in a statement that the identities of the suspects are still not known.

The freed suspects who were being held on remand at the police station for various offences are still on the run.
The police have given their names as Dickson Ofori, Chubuzor Chubuzor, Edem  Rockson, Emmanuel Kotey, Prince Osei, Kofi Darko and Atta Kwadwo.
Adom News’ Kwame Kulenu who is following the story reported on Adom FM’s Morning Show “Dwaso Nsem” that half of the police officers at the station are scheduled to patrol the vicinity in the day while the other half does so in the night.

He said the Accra Regional Police Command is on the look-out for the seven suspects.
Vehicles which were seized after the robbery incident are still at the premises of the police station.
The Inspector General of Police is expected to visit the police station.
