The Director of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for Ahafo Region, Awudu Razak has donated one ton of poultry feed to the Kenyasi Prison Camp to help improve its poultry farm as part of his birthday celebration.
In an interview with Adom News during the presentation, he explained that the prisons camp is currently into poultry farming, and the stage the birds are in demands a lot of feed for consumption which is costly.

According to him, the decision of the camp to engage in prison farming is laudable and in line with the government’s “Nkoko Nkitinkiti” initiative which aims to boost the local poultry sector.
Therefore, there is the need to support the prison camp to succeed and even do it on a large scale to feed the nation.
In addition, he donated bags of rice to be used to feed the inmates to improve their health.
Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent of Prisons (ASP) Mawuli Gbikpo on behalf of the camp received the items, expressed gratitude to the Director and said the availability of the items will boost their poultry farming.

He indicated that the Director – General of Ghana Prisons Service will remain grateful to the YEA Director for his gesture because poultry farming is now one of priorities of the service.
ASP Mawuli Gbikpo used the opportunity to appeal to others being individuals, companies among others and companies, and the poultry farm of the prison camp increase prisoners.
