Ghanaian international Afriyie Acquah could be joining countryman Christian Atsu at Newcastle United.

The midfielder is reported to have agreed terms with the English side after his team Torino reportedly accepted a bid from the Megbies.

Acquah had a good season at Torino where he scored two goals in 28 appearances for the Club in the Italia Serie A.

The 24-year-old is likely to sign for Rafa Benitez’s side before the end of the summer transfer window which officially opened this month.

The former Black Satellites midfielder established himself in the Torino team after joining from Sampdoria two seasons ago.

The player is currently with the Black Stars team preparing for the upcoming friendly matches against the USA and Mexico.
