Some South African students welcomed their Nigerian teacher with a jubilant guard of honour following Nigeria’s victory over South Africa in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The male teacher was greeted with smiles and laughter as he entered the school premises.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as the students lined up to honour their teacher, reflecting the harmonious relationship between the teacher and his students.
Prior to the match, fears had been raised among Nigerians residing in South Africa due to past incidents of xenophobic attacks in the country.
