Musician Fameye

Fameye’s ‘Nothing I Get’ seems to be enlarging its popularity base. The song which had topped the chart in week 20 is not giving up the crown just yet.

The song rose to fame among Ghanaians mainly because of the message it sends. The young artiste in the song preaches against jealousy and envy. The message which sits well with many Ghanaians has helped boost Fameye’s music career.

Running fast behind ‘Nothing I Get’ is ‘No More’ by Kuami Eugene. The love song is fast becoming a favourite of people in the country. In less than three weeks, the song which started on the chart at number 20 is holding the second spot.

At number three is ‘Kpo Keke’ by Stonebwoy. The song which features Medikal, Darkovibes, Kelvyn Boy and Kwesi Arthur has stayed strong in the top five, even after falling from number one.

Going a step up from its previous position is ‘Shuga’ by Stonebwoy featuring Beenie Man. The song has remained in the top five after its premiere on the chart. It is at number four.

Although it had fallen to number nine in week 19 ‘Don’t Be Late’ by Kofi Mole has reclaimed the fifth spot. This artiste, however, has been accused of song theft.

The award-winning artiste could face a lawsuit from fans of Nottingham-born rapper Hex over some striking similarities between his new single “Don’t be late” and Hex’s “Canadian Drip” song.

The attention of Hex fans was drawn after Mr Eazi shared a link to Kofi Mole’s ‘Don’t be Late’ song on his Twitter wall endorsing it but it seems endorsement has created a fuss between the Ground Up Chale signee and fans of UK rapper, Hex.

Fans of Hex claim Kofi Molé’s “Don’t Be Late” song is a direct sampling of the UK rapper’s ‘Canadian Drip’ song released in 2018 and violates copyright laws.

At number six is ‘Jama’ by DJ Mic Smith featuring Patoranking and Shaker.
