Vice Chairman on the Defense and Interior Committee of Parliament is asking the Interior Ministry as a matter of urgency to clamp down on users of illegal fire arms in the country.
Addressing the press Monday, the Manhyia North MP, Collins Owusu Amankwah said the rate at which unregistered arms are in the possession of people is “dangerous” and alarming.
He also called on the fire arms department of the police service to embark on “operation surrender all illegal guns” to ensure sanity in the system.
