The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi West in the Oti Region, Prosper Addo, has cut the sod for the construction of a mobile telecommunications facility at Osramanae to address persistent network challenges in the community.

The project, expected to be completed within a month, is intended to extend reliable mobile network coverage and internet access to residents of Osramanae and neighbouring communities.

For years, poor connectivity has made communication difficult for residents, with consequences for businesses, education, healthcare delivery and access to emergency assistance.

Speaking at the ceremony to mark the start of construction, Mr Addo said the facility would ease the difficulties residents had faced in accessing telecommunications services.

He noted that improved connectivity would make it easier for people to communicate, access online services and pursue economic opportunities.

The MCE also appealed to residents to cooperate with the contractor and support the project team to ensure the facility was completed within the scheduled period.

The Assembly Member for the Osramanae Electoral Area, Siaw Kwadwo, and other community members welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation to Mr Addo and the Member of Parliament for the area, Helen Adwoa Ntoso, for their efforts towards improving telecommunications infrastructure in the community.

When completed, the facility is expected to improve communication and support socio-economic activities across Osramanae and its surrounding areas.
