ECG announces planned power outages in parts of Accra West from October 14 to 16

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works in parts of the Accra West Region from Wednesday, October 14, to Friday, October 16, 2026, resulting in temporary power outages.

In a notice issued on Sunday, October 11, ECG said the exercise forms part of efforts to improve service delivery and will affect several communities between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the scheduled days.

On Wednesday, October 14, the affected areas will include Tabora Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, Bankyease, Race Course, Alhaji, Kwashiebu, Gbawe Bulemin, Gonse, Joma, Agbozome and CP, as well as surrounding communities.

The maintenance works on Thursday, October 15, will affect Mallam Junction, the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Hospital area, South McCarthy, Sampa Valley, Kokrobite, Oshiyie, Old Bortianor, Old Aplaku, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie and Ayikai Doblo, including surrounding areas.

On Friday, October 16, the exercise will affect Kotoku, Papase, Chinto, Doblo and Medie, as well as nearby communities.

ECG has apologised to customers in the affected areas for the inconvenience the temporary outages may cause.
