The Member of Parliament for Kpandai Constituency, Mathew Nyindam has commissioned and handed over a three-unit classroom block at Meme E/P Junior High School and a renovated CHPS compound at Kabonwule in the Kpandai District.
The projects form part of efforts by the MP to address critical infrastructure gaps in education and healthcare and improve access to quality social services for constituents.
At Meme, the newly completed three-unit JHS classroom block is expected to ease pressure on existing facilities and create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The commissioning ceremony brought together community leaders, the Assembly Member for the Katiejeli Electoral Area, old students, NPP constituency and electoral area executives, as well as residents and young people from Meme.
Speaking to Adom News after the commissioning, The Kpandai District Director of Education, Mr. Yaw Sarfo and some community members of Meme expressed appreciation to the MP for fulfilling a promise he made to them in 2024 and commended Hon. Nyindam for his commitment to education and assured that the facility would be put to good use.
Meanwhile, at Kabonwule, the MP also commissioned and handed over a renovated CHPS compound, which had been rendered unusable after a windstorm ripped off parts of the facility
Mathew Nyindam said the project was undertaken in response to a passionate appeal from the chiefs and people of Kabonwule following the disaster.
The commissioning of the Kabonwule CHPS Compound also brought together community leaders, NPP constituency and electoral area executives, and residents of Kabonwule.
Mr. Lentede Daniel, who spoke on behalf of the chiefs and people of Kabonwule, praised the MP for his responsiveness to the health needs of the constituency.
Meanwhile, the Kpandai District Director of Health cited the MP’s recent donation of 80 hospital and delivery beds to the District Health Directorate, which were subsequently distributed to health facilities across the district.
As part of his commitment to improving healthcare delivery, Hon. Mathew Nyindam, who also spoke to Adom News, who announced plans to provide motorcycles to all CHPS compounds in the constituency to facilitate outreach services and improve access to healthcare, particularly in remote communities
