More than 430 BECE graduates in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region have received educational packages from their Member of Parliament, Bright Asamoah Brefo, to support their transition to Senior High School.

The beneficiaries, drawn from both public and private schools across the municipality, are BECE graduates who obtained aggregates between 6 and 12.

The educational support, presented at a ceremony in Bibiani, is aimed at easing the financial pressure on parents as their wards prepare to begin a new chapter of their education.

Bright Asamoah Brefo, said many parents struggle to meet the various expenses associated with sending their children to Senior High School.

He said the intervention is intended to reduce some of that burden by providing students with essential items needed for their stay in school.

The packages included chop boxes, trunks, mattresses, school bags and exercise books.

Parents and guardians who attended the ceremony expressed their appreciation to the MP for the gesture, describing the support as timely as their wards prepare to enter SHS.

They pledged to ensure that the beneficiaries put the items to good use and remain focused on their education.

The initiative, according to the MP, is also part of efforts to encourage academic excellence among young people in the municipality.
