Rapper Kofi Mole has dismissed suggestions that his latest EP, 4 Da Poppin, is struggling to gain traction because it was released at the same time as major projects from some of the country’s biggest artistes.
The rapper has come under discussion among music fans who believe the timing of his release may have worked against him, with Kweku Smoke’s No Days Off album and Black Sherif’s Sun Sherif also commanding significant attention in the music space.
But Kofi Mole appears unfazed by the competition, as he insisted that the presence of bigger artistes on the release calendar will not make him reconsider his decision or retreat from a date he has chosen for his own project.
Regardless of who releases on same day, his project will still make airwaves.
“Once I set my release date I set am! Make Tupac resurrect then decide to drop album same day, we go drop together,” he said.
His stance comes at a time when the Ghanaian music scene is witnessing a particularly competitive period, with several established names releasing projects and competing for listeners, streams and chart positions.
While some fans may see the clash of major releases as a disadvantage for Kofi Mole, his response suggests he is more interested in standing by his decision than waiting for a less crowded moment.
