More than 100 vehicles have reportedly been stranded at the Doli Bridge along the Bole highway after muddy clay used in ongoing road construction made the stretch difficult to navigate.
The incident has created significant difficulties for motorists using the route, with several vehicles unable to safely cross the affected section of the road.
The muddy condition of the road is reportedly linked to construction activities on the Bole highway, where a contractor working on the project used clay material that became slippery and difficult to traverse.
The Bole District Police Command has since deployed personnel to the area to help manage the situation and direct motorists.
The District Police Commander, ASP Mahadi Mensah, is leading the police team at the scene and has urged drivers to exercise extreme caution due to the slippery condition of the road.
Motorists using the route have been advised to reduce their speed and follow instructions from the police as efforts continue to ease the situation.
