The Black Princesses of Ghana will continue their preparations for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with a second international friendly against Mexico’s U-20 women’s team on Friday.
The match, which will be played behind closed doors, forms part of the team’s build-up to the global tournament as head coach Charles Sampson fine-tunes his squad ahead of the competition in Poland.
The Black Princesses head into the encounter in high spirits after recording an emphatic 4-0 victory over Polish side Sleza Wroclaw in their opening friendly match in Wroclaw.
The game against Mexico is expected to provide another important test for the Ghanaian side, offering Sampson an opportunity to further assess his players, strengthen team chemistry and refine tactical plans before the World Cup begins.
The friendly will take place at the Stadion Miejskiego Klubu Sportowego Gornik Walbrzych and is scheduled to kick off at 12:00 GMT.
Ghana are set for their eighth successive appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and will be hoping to make history by advancing beyond the group stage for the first time since their debut in the competition.
