Prophet Nigel Gaisie has publicly celebrated former Second Lady Samira Bawumia on her birthday, reflecting on the support she offered him during a difficult period in his life.
In a birthday message shared on social media, the founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel recalled how Samira was there for him following the death of his father, saying the gesture was one he would always remember.
“When my father passed away, you were there for me. I will extend my sincerest gratitude to you always,” he wrote.
The tribute comes against the backdrop of Gaisie’s previously expressed political stance during Ghana’s 2024 general elections.
He openly backed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, while Samira’s husband, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, was the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Despite the political divide, Gaisie’s birthday message focused on the personal bond and support he says existed between them.
He described Samira as a true friend, suggesting that difficult moments often reveal the people who genuinely stand by others when it matters most.
“True friends are indeed revealed during life’s most challenging moments,” he said.
