Former Gomoa East Member of Parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kojo Asemanyi, has urged party delegates to elect committed and selfless leaders capable of helping the party reclaim power in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking at the ongoing NPP Central Regional elections, Mr Asemanyi said the party was facing a major challenge in the region following its loss of 19 parliamentary seats.

He said the situation required the election of regional leaders who were committed to serving the party and willing to work closely with the grassroots.

According to him, the NPP needs competent leaders who will engage members at every polling station, strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and work tirelessly towards victory in 2028.

Mr Asemanyi therefore appealed to delegates to put the interest of the party above personal considerations and vote for leaders with the competence, commitment and determination to rebuild the NPP in the Central Region.

He said only dedicated and selfless leadership could help the party regain the confidence of voters and restore its political fortunes ahead of the 2028 elections.
