Dancehall king Shatta Wale has publicly criticized members of his inner circle following the cancellation of ShattaFest 2026 in London.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session shared on X on Sunday, August 3, the musician expressed frustration with his management team and associates, accusing them of contributing little while relying on him for financial support.
According to Shatta Wale, none of the people around him generate income for the movement, leaving him to shoulder the responsibility of keeping the brand running alone.
“They are all fools. I am the only person managing the entire Shatta Movement, and no one gives me money. No one in my crew can say they bring in money. They are always there, and I am the one who goes out to look for money to support them,” he said.
The dancehall artiste also took aim at his public relations manager, Sammy Flex, accusing him of giving excessive attention to fellow musician Stonebwoy on his podcast instead of promoting the Shatta Wale brand.
Shatta Wale claimed he had previously advised Sammy Flex to stop making Stonebwoy a regular topic of discussion.
“I told him to stop talking about Stonebwoy on the podcast every single day. He still thinks we are in the radio era,” he remarked.
The outburst comes in the wake of the cancellation of ShattaFest 2026 at Copthall Playing Fields in London after UK authorities reportedly shut down the event over safety concerns.
The decision left thousands of fans disappointed, with many taking to social media to express frustration after travelling to attend the event. Some also demanded refunds from organisers.
The controversy has since dominated conversations within Ghana’s entertainment industry, with Shatta Wale’s latest comments adding another twist to the fallout from the failed event.
His remarks have generated mixed reactions online, with some fans sympathising with his frustrations, while others questioned the decision to publicly criticise members of his own team at a time when the Shatta Movement is dealing with the aftermath of the cancelled festival.
