The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has strengthened firefighting operations in the Greater Accra Region with the deployment of a new fire engine to improve emergency response.
The fire appliance has been stationed at the Jubilee House Fire Station, where it is expected to enhance the Service’s ability to respond quickly to fire outbreaks and rescue operations within its operational area.
The vehicle was officially handed over by the Director of Technical Services, DCFO Timothy Osafo Affum, to the Greater Accra Regional Fire Officer, ACFO II Rashid Kwame Nisawu.
Speaking during the handover, the Regional Fire Officer expressed appreciation to the Fire Service Administration for the additional resource and pledged that the appliance would be properly maintained and effectively deployed to protect lives and property.
The deployment forms part of efforts by the Ghana National Fire Service to strengthen emergency response capacity and improve firefighting services across the country.
