The Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) has called for calm following ongoing developments involving Medical Laboratory Scientists at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
In a statement dated May 7, 2026, the Council said it was closely monitoring the situation and acknowledged concerns raised over the impasse affecting laboratory services at the hospital.
According to the Council, the matter is purely regulatory in nature, with efforts currently underway to engage relevant stakeholders toward an amicable and lawful resolution.
The AHPC noted that its priority remains quality healthcare delivery, professional harmony, and patient safety.
