Some candidates sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in Nkwanta South have raised concerns over inadequate learning time, attributing it to the impact of an ongoing conflict in the area.
The candidates shared their experiences with Adom News shortly after completing their first English paper.
According to them, the situation has disrupted normal academic activities and significantly reduced the time available for effective study ahead of the examinations.
Several candidates explained that although they made efforts to prepare under the circumstances, the instability affected regular school attendance and limited opportunities for thorough revision.
Despite the challenges, many expressed determination and confidence in their performance.
They indicated that they remain hopeful of passing the examination, relying on the preparation they were able to undertake within the limited time available.
The situation highlights the broader impact of insecurity on education, particularly for final-year students who depend on stable academic schedules, consistent teaching, and conducive learning environments to prepare for national examinations.
