The Adabraka District Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man identified as Harrison Nii Otoo, also known as “Land dealer,” over allegations of defrauding by false pretences.

The warrant, numbered 161/2025 and dated September 9, 2025, directs law enforcement agencies to arrest the suspect for allegedly engaging in a fraudulent vehicle transaction involving two unregistered Range Rover vehicles valued at $115,000.

According to court documents, Harrison Nii Otoo is accused of purchasing the vehicles from a complainant and issuing four Fidelity Bank cheques as payment.

The cheques, with face values of GH¢200,000.00, GH¢5,000.00, GH¢5,000.00, and GH¢200,000.00, were later returned by the bank due to insufficient funds.

Investigators say efforts to trace the suspect have so far been unsuccessful.

The suspect, described as a 50-year-old man, dark in complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and of average build, is said to be a native of Kpone Katamanso.

He is believed to be hiding around Tema, Prampram and Nungua.

The Criminal Investigation Department’s Financial Forensics Unit has therefore appealed to the public for information that could lead to his arrest. Citizens are encouraged to contact the CID through 0543352597 or 0244850438.
