The Chief and Elders of Jamboi have installed a new Amankrado after the community went years without one, marking a significant step in strengthening traditional leadership and local governance.
The newly installed Amankrado, known in private life as Mr Anto Akwasi Simon, a teacher by profession, has taken the stool name Nana Apoei II.
He succeeds his predecessor, Nana Apoei I, ushering in a renewed era of leadership in the community.
Speaking in an interview with Adom News, the Chief of Jamboi, Nana Banda Monto-Ko I, advised the new Amankrado to approach his role with humility and a strong sense of responsibility.

He urged him to remain fair and composed when handling disputes brought before him, emphasising that effective conflict resolution is key to fostering unity and development in the area.
Nana Banda Monto-Ko I further noted that the position of Amankrado plays a crucial role in maintaining peace and supporting the traditional council in decision-making processes that affect the welfare of the people.
In his acceptance speech following the installation, Nana Apoei II expressed gratitude to the chiefs and elders for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to work closely with them to promote peace, unity and development in Jamboi.
He assured the community of his commitment to serving diligently, resolving disputes fairly and contributing to initiatives that will improve livelihoods and infrastructure in the area.
The installation ceremony is seen by many residents as a timely intervention to strengthen traditional authority and accelerate development efforts in Jamboi after years without an Amankrado.
