International evangelist and Founder of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, has clarified the origins and purpose of his long-standing message, “This nonsense must stop,” stating that it dates back over three decades.

Speaking on Accra-based UTV, he explained that the message began in the early 1990s and has consistently been part of his ministry.

According to him, the campaign is not a recent development and should not be linked to any particular political administration.

Rev. Tetteh described the message as one inspired by God, aimed at addressing what he termed the “absurdities of life.”

He emphasized that it is not limited to LGBTQ issues but covers a wide range of societal concerns that, in his view, require attention and change.

“‘This nonsense must stop’ is not only about LGBTQ; rather, it is one of the nonsenses that needs to stop,” he stated.

He cited examples including moral and social challenges, relationships, and broader issues affecting fairness and justice in society.

He further noted that every year, from May 1 to May 31, which is his birth month, he organizes a conference in Ghana centered on the message.

He cautioned against attempts to narrow the campaign to recent years or specific political periods, stating that such interpretations misrepresent its long history and intent.
