The Takoradi edition of auditions for Nsoromma Season 8 has seen an impressive turnout, with over 60 children showcasing their musical talents as the nationwide search for Ghana’s next young singing star officially kicked off.

Held over the weekend at Akroma Plaza, the auditions brought together children aged four to 14, who performed a variety of songs ranging from original compositions to highlife classics and contemporary Afrobeats hits.

Organisers described the Takoradi auditions as inspiring, noting that many contestants demonstrated confidence, vocal strength, and musical maturity beyond their years.
The strong participation followed an intensive community engagement campaign led by Nsoromma co-host Sister Sandy, who toured schools and media houses across Takoradi and surrounding areas to encourage young talents to audition.

Her outreach efforts helped generate excitement ahead of the auditions, drawing enthusiastic participation from both children and their families.

Beyond the performances, contestants and parents took part in an interactive session where Sister Sandy engaged the children in discussions about music and entertainment, reinforcing the show’s mission of nurturing young talent while creating memorable experiences for all participants.

Nsoromma, which airs on Adom TV, has become one of Ghana’s leading platforms for discovering and developing young musical talents, with several past contestants going on to build promising careers in music and entertainment.
Following the successful Takoradi auditions, attention now shifts to Kumasi, where the next round is scheduled for Friday, February 21, at the True Vine Hotel.
Organisers are urging children with a passion for music to participate as the nationwide search for Ghana’s next generation of music stars continues.
Nsoromma Season 8 is powered by La Vonce Tomato Mix and supported by several partner brands.
