The children of the late Dr. Edward Omane Boamah have delivered a moving tribute to their father, describing him as their “safe place, teacher, encourager, and friend,” whose life was defined by integrity, humility, and compassion.
In their heartfelt message, they recalled how, despite the demands of national duty, their father always made time for them—calling daily when he travelled, attending their important moments, and reminding them that “family is not part of life, it is life.”
They spoke of cherished memories, from late-night talks and school drop-offs to playful science experiments at home, and expressed disbelief at his sudden passing.
“We really thought you’d live forever because your light was so bright it could never go out,” they wrote.
“Rest well, Edwardo. Your race is done, but your impact will never end,” they concluded.
