The Western Central Region Police Command, Asankragwa Division has intercepted a suspect drug smuggler, Daniel Yeboah at the Samreboi-Tanokrom Snap Check point.
The suspect was nabbed with two travelling bags containing 66 compressed parcels suspected to be Indian hemp whilst onboard a tri-cycle ( Pragia).
The suspect claimed the exhibits were given to him by a woman at Wenchi to be delivered to her at Mumuni camp near Samreboi.
He added that he was paid an amount of GH 5000 for the services.
Police immediately launched investigation, and strenuous efforts are being made to apprehend the alleged woman to aid investigation.
Suspect Daniel Yeboah will be arraigned before the court on Monday, 4 August 2025.
The Regional police Command is urging anyone with information about the alleged woman or the case to come forward.
